Project Description

Poetry/Creative Writing Workshop with Heidi Lynn Nilsson

Through directed exploration, guided writing exercises, and written responses to your work, this class will encourage the development of your unique poetic voice. Whether you’re a beginning hobbyist, an experienced poet, or a fiction writer aiming to use poetic techniques to your animate your prose, this workshop will provide you with a community to support your efforts and a skill set to refine your writing.

INSTRUCTOR

Geidi Lynn Nilsson
Geidi Lynn NilssonInstructor
Heidi Lynn Nilsson holds a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA in Writing from Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author of two poetry collections, “For the Fire from the Straw,” and “The Math of Gifts.” Her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Ploughshares, TriQuarterly, American Poet, The New Young American Poets anthology, and the New Voices anthology from The Academy of American Poets. She lives in Oconee County with her husband and three daughters.
