Class Description:
Have you ever wanted to put to paper your personal, unique story? Come join us in this highly interactive and energetic class! We will explore writing as a disciplined and meaningful practice in our lives with weekly writing prompts, sharing, and memoir/fiction techniques. This class will challenge you to become the writer you’ve always dreamed about. We will use resources from Joseph Campbell’s The Power of Myth, Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, and many other artists. By the end of these sessions, participants will have drafted, revised, and received feedback around their story, memoir, or other writings.
INSTRUCTOR
Carlyn C. Bland is a lifelong writer and educator in Clarke County, Georgia. She has led numerous workshops in writing for students and adults. When she is not writing, she is hiking and spending time with her family and cats.
