Course Description:
Have you always wanted to write a short story, novel, or memoir? Are you working on a book but would love feedback, encouragement, and deadlines? Then this class is for you! Through guided reading, writing exercises, and class critiques, you’ll learn techniques that will make your characters complex and compelling. Even better, you’ll gain a community of writers to inspire and support you. Join us!
INSTRUCTOR
Heidi Lynn Nilsson holds a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA in Writing from Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author of two poetry collections, “For the Fire from the Straw,” and “The Math of Gifts.” Her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Ploughshares, TriQuarterly, American Poet, The New Young American Poets anthology, and the New Voices anthology from The Academy of American Poets. She lives in Oconee County with her husband and three daughters.
