Danny Henriquez is a Dominican-American artist born and raised in New York City. The youngest in a family of four, he became interested in art while riding the public transit system. The bright colors of the Krylon and Rustoleum painted walls had Danny in a constant hunt to decipher the hidden meaning and eventually inspired him to try graffiti writing himself.
After years of exploring with this modern street art, he decided to move onto painting stretched canvases. His first experience with painting on said canvases was at the University of Rhode Island where he studied fine arts with a focus in painting and drawing. He later began to explore other fields of artistry such as dark-room photography, screen-printing, and sculpture. He has been featured in multiple shows at the university as well as local galleries in Rhode Island. Upon his return to Manhattan, Danny has continued to create and present his works in various art shows. Still inspired by his love for graffiti, Danny is actively creating pieces to blend street styles and abstract works.
