OCAF is offering an opportunity for families to create something together that will last a lifetime.

The whole family will have fun spending time together in a professional pottery studio, with a premier instructor.

Registration is FREE, but space is limited.

Start by expanding your pottery proficiency in a gallery talk through both exhibition galleries, and then get a hands on experience with clay. Michael Pitts, well-known Georgia potter will lead the talks covering pottery styles, clays, glazes, firing techniques and general information about various pieces in the Perspectives exhibit. This talk is catered to you and your family. Then step into the pottery studio with Amanda Proctor, graduate of the University of Georgia in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Ceramics. She currently works primarily in functional pottery, but while in school made large, abstract sculptural work. She enjoys building everything with clay, whether it is on the pottery wheel, hand building or 5-foot sculpture! Amanda currently teaches at OCAF and at Good Dirt and has expanded her sales to the Atlanta area as well as locally.

Each participant will be led in creating your own piece of pottery. Each piece will be glazed and fired. Register today to save your spot. Workshop is for Ages 6 and up and must be accompanied by at least one adult.
