Handbuilding with Forrest Gard
School Street Studios 34 School Street, WatkinsvilleIn this class, you will learn the basics of handbuilding and surface decoration techniques. Students will learn how to pinch, build with coils, and slab build. Projects will be introduced on a weekly basis and will focus on handbuilt vessels, including cups, bowls, planters, and serving pieces. Students will be free to develop their own projects as well. Students will also learn how to decorate their pieces with various surface techniques, including brushing on slip, stencils, sgraffito, and mishima/inlay.
