They were imported from Europe by the early settlers to this country. Since their arrival in the early 1600s honeybees have become an integral part of our ecology and our economy. Today honeybees (and all our other native bees and butterflies) are being stressed by new chemical and biological challenges. Pesticides and herbicides are killing some bees and weakening others. The show will be an experience of the uniqueness of living with fiber-- of the joy that comes from being intentional about what seems ordinary which makes them extraordinary.
