Class Description:
Experience the luminosity and unpredictable nature of this fabulous medium! This class is for beginning watercolorists and those with no experience. We will cover loose watercolor painting techniques as well as more traditional methods, including wet-into wet and layering transparent washes. Topics will include color, composition, and simplification.
Students are encouraged to bring sketches, photos or ideas and supplies to the first class. Instruction will be individually adapted to the direction and level of each student in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Lauren Adams is a southern artist and native of rural, middle Georgia. She has explored and experimented with painting and drawing most of her life. Inspired by her southern roots and the natural world, her work runs the gamut from figurative, to landscape and beyond.
