Main Gallery, 1902 Building, OCAF Art Center 34 School Street, WatkinsvilleAurora Alva studied Architecture in Mexico City. Her work in pottery reflects her love for architecture , art and nature. Surface decoration, beautiful forms and functionality are very important to her.
Her work continues to evolve. Currently she uses white and raku clays. She uses a variety of methods such as wheel throwing, altering and marking techniques, layered underglazes, slip transfer and intricate application of glazing that brings unity to the finished piece.

UNG-Oconee Campus GACALL FOR ART Calling all OCAF members, This academic year we are celebrating 50 years of the visual arts at the University of North Georgia. The relationship that has developed between UNG and the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation has been crucial to our recent growth. We want to celebrate that relationship with a juried exhibition this Fall. This version of Reciprocal will celebrate the importance of relationships.
