Family Day Kick-Off Join us at our Family Kick-Off Day and get ready for insane amounts of fun! Come make raku pottery, watch glassblowing, and make a mural with folk artist Peter Loose! The gallery will be open all day so you can check out artworks from all of the Oconee County Schools. Beekeeping Workshop with Fred Smith Did you know honeybees are not native to the United States? They were imported from Europe by the early settlers to this country. Since their arrival in the early 1600s honeybees have become an integral part of our ecology and our economy. Today honeybees (and all our other native bees and butterflies) are being stressed by new chemical and biological challenges.
